My name is Kelly Cossano. My greatest accomplishment is being a Mom. My son Cooper, is a 2016 graduate as you can see! My daughter Sierra, is now a nurse in Cooperstown NY and is finishing her Bachelors at Hartwick College.

 

My other great accomplishment is that I found a career teaching something I love, Art. have been at the Washingtonville Middle School since September of 1994. That's a long time!

 

Though the years there have been a lot of changes, including blogging! As a matter of fact, the internet, cell phones, digital cameras, document cameras, smartboards (though I still use a pull down window shade since the art room can be messy!) facebook... were all new at some point in my career.

 

I did get my masters in Educational Technology, but that was many moons ago and every thing I learned is completely irrelevant at this point (my students don't even know what a floppy disk is!) 

 

I am embracing the new technology, a little at a time and using it as a tool in my artroom. Our school is now a Google Classroom school, I like it! I am starting this site/blog. I will be posting as I go, so those of you with me (learning) can follow along and those of you who are growing up with this feel free to send me helpful info (but remember you will be in my shoes one day so don't laugh!)
